By A Thread Studio is a comprehensive sewing makerspace providing a variety of services tailored to both individual and group needs. We offer sewing classes for beginner and intermediate sewists designed to teach various techniques and projects. Our future goal is to provide sewing machine rentals, allowing you to work on your creations without the need to own a machine. Our studio's goal also includes a sewing pattern printing service, enabling you to easily print and use custom or pre-designed patterns for your projects. Whether you're looking to learn, create, or simply rent equipment, By A Thread Studio will have you covered.

We offer 2 types of classes: Individual: One-on-one class to teach you basic foundational sewing skills with an ending goal for you to work independently. For more advance sewist, we offer classes that build on their skills and learn more refined skills. Examples are specific techniques, button ups, and outerwear. Group: These are more fun learning classes. The focus is less on the foundations and more on the joy of sewing. Our Sip & Sew classes offer introductory projects that are easy enough to continue engagement with your classmates while completing a project. By A Thread Studio offers group classes for intermediate sewist to learn in an encouraging environment with others.

You will receive 6 hours of instructional time (split over 2 days of your choosing) during which you will complete a garment. All supplies are included EXCEPT the fabric. Once you book your time, we will send a follow up email with further instructions. The cost is $155

By A Thread Studio is currently located at 1200 Summit Ave in suite 103. This address serves as our temporary space where we hold our sewing classes. Despite being in an unconventional office space, we have transformed it into a fully functional sewing studio for group classes, as well as individual classes. We may be in a temporary location for now, but we are committed to providing top-notch sewing instruction and a welcoming environment for our students.
